This is my piece for the
Gizmos and Gadgets show opening this
Friday, January 18th, at
Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. The theme of this show was for artists to do a piece based off of different gizmos and gadgets found in pop culture. I kinda went with the obvious and based mine on one of the most gadget oriented characters of all time, Inspector Gadget...
Title: Inspector Series 83
12"x18" 1-color screenprint with Glow in the Dark layer
on Frenchpaper Pop-Tone Blu Raspberry 100C
Edition Size: 115
Price: $30.00
I thought I'd try out a glow in the dark layer on this one featuring the inspector's endoskeleton. I'm not 100% sure if he was a robot or a cyborg of some type, but with all that crap popping out of his head I assumed he must be. I loved this cartoon growing up and one of the coolest things they did was they never showed the face of the main villain Dr. Claw. That was until for some reason in the earlier 90's they released an action figure of him, the packaging had a sticker covering his face and could only be seen if you took him out of the package...
And this is what Dr. Claw looks like, kinda disappointing...

I as a 32 year old guy I love this poster (IG was right in my wheelhouse). The only problem is that once again it's not being offered anywhere near me. Let me know when a sweet poster is being sold in Portland, Or.
-Paul - The guy that still dreams of your muppets poster. I too have a custom made muppet in my collection.
Hi Paul,
Those will be available sometime on Saturday on Bottleneck Gallery's site, you can order one from there.
